thunkIT Partners with Florida Agency

May 13, 2004

NEW HAVEN, CT - thunkIT, a web-based application development company located in the 9th Square District of New Haven announces its partnership with FCEdge, a full-service marketing communications company with offices in Stuart, Florida. FCEdge will be working with thunkIT to market leading-edge content management solutions under the FCEdge "Navigator" brand.

"We needed a product that would give clients the freedom to update their web-sites without the cost of hiring a web designer. Our Navigator package provides exactly the web content management options that allow companies to maintain a fresh web presence without added expense." said New Business Development Director Susan Murphy at FCEdge.

"We are thrilled to have FCEdge join our expanding network of integration partners," said Jonathan Biebesheimer, CEO of thunkIT. "With more than twenty years of experience developing global marketing campaigns, FCEdge is well positioned to deploy web-based technology to streamline and strengthen their clients' operations."

According to Gartner, Inc., a leading technology consultant, midsize businesses are placing more value on how a web implementation can support its fundamental business processes than on a straight feature-set comparison.

"FCEdge, like all of our integration partners, takes the time to understand and explore with their clients how to maximize the value of web content management" Biebesheimer explains. "With this depth of consulting, the technology is implemented in a manner which makes it a core tool that dramatically improves an organization's sales, productivity or efficiency. If it doesn't either save a client money or make a client money, the solution runs the risk of having been ill-conceived." According to Biebesheimer, FCEdge has demonstrated the capability to serve companies with this kind of insight, enabling their clients to maximize their web content management investment.

"thunkIT has brought an important product to our palette of services", adds FCEdge President and founder, Tina Luce. "We are always looking for the best technical products to complement our creative design work so our clients have state-of-the-art delivery of their marketing message. The Osiris upgrade to our Navigator suite of products meets our rigorous technical quality demands. Our clients are especially pleased with the user-friendliness of this application."

The Osiris WCM Suite enables non-technical content producers to create, manage and deliver web content, without any specialized technical knowledge. A web solution using Osiris can be implemented far more quickly than heavily customized solutions, ultimately saving time and development expense.

Osiris Powers Award-Winning Online Exhibit

April 28, 2004

NEW HAVEN, CT - thunkIT, a web-based application development company located in the 9th Square District of New Haven, announced that its customer Historical Society of Greenwich recently received a Wilbur Cross Award from the Connecticut Humanities Council, for its Voices of the Civil War online exhibit.

The Connecticut Humanities Council, a public, nonprofit foundation dedicated to creating opportunities for life-long learning through the humanities, created the Wilbur Cross Awards in 1984 to recognize outstanding achievement in humanities across the state.

According to a statement released at the 20th Annual Wilbur Cross Awards, the Voices of the Civil War online exhibit was awarded "Best Heritage Project" because it demonstrated a commitment to community education and outreach. Through the use of the Osiris technology, the exhibit made the Society's rich Civil War archives, collections and research accessible to teachers and students, the general public, and researchers alike.

Voices of the Civil War was developed using thunkIT's web content management technology.

"The tools available with the Osiris suite made the process of creating a dynamic website incredibly easy" explains Kirsten Jensen, content developer for Voices of the Civil War. "The flexibility of the technology allowed me to develop an exhibit that was easy to use and navigate, but not at the expense of content or visual interest."

This is the second Wilbur Cross Award received within the past two years for projects using thunkIT's web content management products. thunkIT customer Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation was also awarded the Wilbur Cross Award in 2002 for Outstanding Use of Technology, presented to the Connecticut Trust For Historic Preservation for the TownGreens.com project, a web-based heritage tourism portal. The TownGreens.com project also received a Certificate of Commendation from The American Association of State and Local History (AASLH) this same year. The AASLH Annual Awards Program is the most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation and interpretation of local, state and regional history.

"It is our hope that more and more organizations will be able to inspire audiences by publishing and distributing educational content through web-based technology" states Jonathan Biebesheimer, CEO of thunkIT. "Our vision is to make the technology more accessible to an increasing number of organizations concerned and committed to community education and outreach."

About The Historical Society of Greenwich
The Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich collects and preserves the cultural heritage and ongoing history of Greenwich and provides a center for its enjoyment and study at Bush-Holley Historic Site. The Historical Society's educational programs and services include tours of its historic house museum; permanent and changing exhibitions; lectures and hands-on learning for adults, families and children; teacher and student programs; research opportunities; publications and the documentation of Greenwich's historic landmarks and sites.

American Comedy Network Gets Serious With Osiris

April 1, 2004

MILFORD, CT - The American Comedy Network (ACN), a subsidiary of media giant Jones Radio Networks, Inc., and thunkIT, announced a major innovation in the American Comedy Network's operation that is expected to increase revenue and opportunity while reducing costs.

"With Osiris, a web-based content management tool configured to our specific requirements, we're seeing gains in control, user-friendliness and distribution that far exceed anything we've ever had before. We expect this new web portal to have a far-reaching impact on improving our quality of service, and the ease with which our customers can access it," states Kurt Luchs, General Manager of the American Comedy Network.

Through its syndicated National Features Service and Onion Radio News offerings, the American Comedy Network supplies hundreds of comedy radio shows throughout the world with audio comedy bits and material. The newly launched web-based portal has been designed to dramatically streamline that process.

The solution for the American Comedy Network (http://www.americancomedynetwork.com), is powered by Osiris, a web content management suite developed by thunkIT, a mid-market provider located in the 9th Square District of New Haven.

Jonathan Biebesheimer, CEO of thunkIT, explains that "with Osiris, ACN's non-technical personnel have the ability to manage the publishing and management of hundreds of audio files, users and documents. The non-technical interface is key, because it eliminates the bottleneck that sometimes occurs when an organization has to run everything through its IT department. Consequently, Osiris increases ease and efficiency on a grand scale."

Biebesheimer goes on to explain that "the Osiris platform also includes analysis and reporting tools which provide the American Comedy Network critical insight into how content is being used and consumed on public and affiliate resource areas." With the insight provided, the American Comedy Network will be able to refine the content offerings in order to better meet the needs and requirements of the intended audience.

The American Comedy Network's Creative Director Joel Graham says, "With a system that lets us know exactly which affiliates are using what parts of our service, and how often, we'll gain a much clearer understanding of what works best with each station format and in each part of the country. We've never had this level of market intelligence at our fingertips before when making strategic creative decisions."

In addition to access to delivering key operational tools, Osiris represents the foundation for fundamental changes and improvements within the American Comedy Network.

"Not only will this solution enable us to better serve our core business-to-business customers in radio," Luchs adds, "it also gives us the infrastructure we need to get into the consumer market in a big way for the first time."

About The American Comedy Network Through its National Features Service, the American Comedy Network supplies the world's funniest radio shows with the world's best audio comedy bits. The American Comedy Network also syndicates the Onion Radio News, an audio spin-off of the world's most popular humor publication, The Onion. The American Comedy Network is owned by Jones Radio Networks, part of Jones Media Networks Ltd., which also provides cable television programming, including Great American Country; Jones Direct, an Internet marketing company; and extensive satellite distribution facilities.

Osiris v2.2 Released

March 2, 2004

NEW HAVEN, CT thunkIT, a web-based application development company located in the 9th Square District of New Haven, recently announced the immediate availability of Osiris, the company's second generation web content management suite, designed to enable organizations to deploy and manage powerful dynamic web sites efficiently and affordably.

At the 2003 Midsize Enterprise Summit, an annual event conducted by Gartner, Inc, one of the industry's leading research and consulting companies, more than 400 midsize business decision-makers came together with technology vendors and Gartner analysts. At that summit, it was irrefutably established that a predominant driver for technology investment (ranking at about 50% of all surveyed) is improved operational efficiency.

According to Jonathan Biebesheimer, CEO of thunkIT, operational efficiency is one of the central themes around which Osiris has been developed. The Osiris WCM Suite enables non-technical content producers to create, manage and deliver web content, without any specialized technical knowledge. A web solution using Osiris can be implemented far more quickly than heavily customized solutions, ultimately saving time and development expense.

thunkIT introduced more than a dozen enhancements in Osiris, including core platform components that improve scale, decrease development time of custom functionality and strengthen the software's ability to handle far more intensive business environments. In addition, Osiris now features an even more robust set of industry-standard midsize business level features including greater content deployment and syndication functions as well as user access and workflow management. The redesigned Administrative user interface provides an even greater means to manage content and web resources, anticipating the needs of the higher end of the product's target user. These new enhancements augment Osiris' already rich feature-set, and provide more tools for efficient site administration.

To date, the Osiris WCM Suite has already been chosen by several local and statewide organizations, including the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation (http://www.cttrust.org) and INFONewHaven.com. Both organizations are using the web as a primary means of information distribution and dissemination. Additional implementations are scheduled for launch early summer, 2004, with three national and international corporate clients who will be using Osiris to serve their customers and market on a global scale.

"We are particularly proud of the stable platform and robust feature set Osiris brings to our clients. We believe it offers a tremendous value when compared to competitive offerings from web content management providers such as Ektron, PaperThin and other companies we view to be other key players in this sector of the web solution marketplace."
